vse.fi's most-read pages were never about holidays. They were about work, immigration and welfare — written by people who had done it themselves. This section is that material, rewritten for someone arriving with an English-language contract instead of a Russian one.
Nothing published here yet, on purpose. This is the section where being wrong costs somebody a residence permit or a tax bill, so every rule has to be verified against Migri, Kela, Traficom or Vero before the page exists — and the migration inventory found 22 candidate posts, all of them classified rewrite rather than translate, because their facts are from 2018.
What this section will cover
In the order the inventory ranks them by the traffic the Russian originals earn, which is the best available evidence of what people actually need:
- Driving licence exchange — who can swap without a test, and who cannot. Traficom.
- Residence permits for work — the categories, and which one a normal job offer falls into. Migri.
- Kela — what you are entitled to, and the residence test that decides it.
- Housing — how the rental market works, what a deposit is, and why the queue for a city flat is the way it is.
- Tax — the tax card, the flat rate for short stays, and the thing that surprises everybody about the first year. Vero.
Each will carry "Last checked" and the official page it was checked against, and each will be re-checked on a schedule rather than when somebody remembers. A page in this section that is eighteen months stale is worse than no page.
